I think the last thing an animal or pet told me it actually was a horse that I went to see this morning I just felt like he was being kind towards. I think he was trying to talk to me and tell me to be calm and to let go of any stress I have going on.
The last thing an animal or pet told me was probably my dog Skye. She always wags her tail whenever she gets excited. I think the last thing she tried to tell me was goodbye. I had left for college and she knew I was leaving. She wagged her tail and jumped on me. I think she was trying to tell me goodbye and that she will see me soon. Also my dog Skye likes to jump and bark when she needs to go out so she definitely would've been telling me she has to go out.
Avery Gulgren My pets have very big personalities and they will tell you whenever they want something. My dog Mabel will sit in front of her bowl all day long because she wants to eat dinner. If she's not sitting there then she is sitting by her treat bowl looking at you to give her a snack all day.

It was easier to believe we would both be moving onto bigger and better things. I know she's up in doggy heaven watching me thrive here at UK.
The last time I saw Ranger, my dog I had to say goodbye to him since i was leaving for college. I think that he was trying to ask me when I was coming home. I could tell that he knew that I was leaving because he kept jumping in the trunk of my car thinking that he could come with me. He would say “where are we going ash?!”. Unfortunately when I had to tell him that he couldn’t come with me he would start whining and running around trying to get my attention.
The last thing that my pets tried to tell me (I have two guinea pigs and a cat) is “don’t leave… who’s going to give us food… you leave I’ll s**t in your room (which they have been doing)” in a whiny, spoiled, bratty voice when I had to leave for college. My pets have always been spoiled by me so it checks out that they would try to get what they want by bullying me into staying.
When I left for college I could see the sadness in my puppy’s eyes. His face was the saddest I have ever seen it. I could tell that he knew I was leaving for a long time. He cuddled with me the whole night before I left. He was with me until the very last second I left. I know he misses me.
The last thing my dog ever said to me was “good luck my best friend and don’t leave me”. I have a chunky yellow lab named Winston. The last time I saw him was the day I left for college. I gave him such a large hug. He then looked up at me with his big brown eyes with sadness. He seemed to be telling me to not leave him. I could also tell that he was excited for me to be going somewhere, he just would miss me. My dog is okay now, he is just sad that both my sister and I are not in the house all the time anymore.
My dog knows when I’m upset or when I’m really happy and his actions match mine. He knows when I’m tired and he’ll lay down with me. Or when I’m happy he gets excited and wants to play. I know he’s there for me

Some people think that cats can't be loving like a dog could, I completely disagree and think that they just show their affection in different ways. Every time my cats stare up at me, look me in the eye, and slowly blink, they're saying "I love you." Every time they cuddle up next to me or on top of me, they're saying "I love you." When they sit on the kitchen table in my apartment staring at me they're telling me they want food. And when they smell me and then stare at me when their mouths wide open they're saying "Ew. You smell disgusting.", which usually follows after I eat something with a lot of spice or garlic in it. When my partner is at work and my cats sit by the door to my apartment staring up at it, they're saying "I miss him.", or "Where is he?".
The last thing an animal tried to tell me was that they trusted me. I work on a Thoroughbred breeding farm currently with yearlings. When one of the horses was laying down and resting in their stall, I went in and sat down with them. The horse went on to lay their head in my lap and continue resting. Horses are prey animals and have a natural instinct to not lay down in a vulnerable position unless they are around other horses that they trust, or in this case a person like me that they know isn’t going to hurt them. By continuing to be vulnerable while I was in this horse’s space, they told me without words that they trust me.
Every day my owner would leave and come back. I would get sad when ever he left but he would get home everyday at the same time 4:15pm he would walk through the door. Then suddenly all my sadness left i was so happy, my tail wagging uncontrollably. There was one day though where everything felt different the house had a lonely feeling to it. I knew today was the day my boy would leave me for good the last thing i could say to him was I love you good bye.
The last thing that my dog told me was that he wanted attention. When my dog wants attention he walks by the door and acts like he wants to go outside but he actually does not. Once he gets your attention and you walk over, he will then walk away from the door and lay on his back in hopes that he gets pet. My dog begs for attention. My dog lies and tells me that he wants to go outside, but in reality it is a trick for attention.
Having an older dog can be scary because they begin to change from an excited and energized animal to a slower and tired dog. As my dog has become older, he's begun to make large sighing noises every time he lays down or isn't getting the attention that he wants. The reason I know that he makes this noise for attention is because after every time he does it, he'll turn around and look at us to make sure that we're paying attention. Throughout his life, I've always tried to imagine what he would sound like if he could talk like a human, but now I know what he sounds like as a dog.
The last thing an animal told me was my pet dog Rufus. It was the day I left for college and I could tell he was telling me he was sad and stressed. He followed me around that whole day and would constantly be by my side. I think he could tell I was leaving. Before I left I laid with him and told him goodbye and he licked me, so I could tell he was telling me goodbye.
I will never forget walking out of my house three and a half weeks ago with all my things packed up in the back of my families car. I had spent days packing all my clothes and weeks prior to that shopping for all my supplies. I had everything I needed, except Bubbles. As I walked out that red back door I turned to see Bubbles peering through the doorway of the game room with her ears perked. She didn't move, she didn't blink, she just stared with eyes that pierced right through my heart. She looked at me with "where are you going" expression that I could not shake. I ran back to her and threw myself on the ground next to her, completely breaking down.
I have two cats and they are very dependent on me, especially when I’m leaving. When I started packing to come to college one of them just meowed and sat in my packed bags like a “take me with you” or “don’t go.”
I don’t have an animal of my own but I like to consider my friends dogs as my own at times. I think the last thing an animal told me was to play with her because she was very excited to see me and wanted me to play with her before I left for college.
The girl with the brown hair kept looking down at me just smiling. She kept saying "good boy," but I did not want to hear those words. The one word that I kept wanting to hear was treat. So I kept barking and wagging my tail trying to get her to understand that when she says good boy I should get a treat after that. Eventually I had to try a little harder and decided to jump up and give her a kiss. Now this was the golden ticket. After I did that she went running to my favorite place in the whole house. The small brown cabinet located in the kitchen. This cabinet had all of my favorite things inside. I finally got what I wanted all along a treat. I gave her another kiss letting her know how much I love her.
The last thing my pet told me was that they were betrayed. They were hurt that I ran away from them after they ripped a hole in my sweater. He’s so young and he doesn’t understand why I get upset when he’s only trying to play. He showed this through his puppy dog eyes and low hanging tail.
My little fluffy pekingese mix dog named Boo is one of my favorite things on the Earth. I love him with all my heart and leaving him in Michigan with my family to go to school in Kentucky 5 hours away was one of the hardest things ever. But Labor Day Weekend when I went home for the weekend I finally got to see him. One day there was homework I had to do so I put on my backpack and walked to the back deck to work on it and he followed me everywhere until I put my backpack back in my room. It was like he was saying he didn't want me to leave without him, and all this time I thought he really didn't notice I left, but he did. He was following me around crying making sure I was in his eyesight the entire time.
I think the last thing my dog said to me when I was actually home is that he either missed me or to give him attention. also when i left for college it was definitely the same thing.
The last thing I remember my dog Winnie telling me was that there was someone at the door. I went home last weekend and Winnie went crazy, barking, and running between me and the door when she heard my dad walking up the steps to our back door. She loves playing with my dad the most, so to say she was ecstatic would be an understatement.
I think the last thing my dog said to me is that she wanted to play with her toy. She had an excited look in her eye and she kept jumping around with the plush frog in her mouth. If she could speak I think she would've said, "Hey! Can we please play now? I'm so bored!"
The last thing an animal or pet told me was my cat and dog when I left for college. My cat sat in my bag so that I wasn’t able to pack anything in it and i could tell that she was so sad and knew that I was leaving. My do tried jumping in the car as we left, and I knew he wanted to come with me.
The last time I saw my dog was the morning I left for college. I was so sad and I'm sure she was very confused as to why. Two weeks later I had called my mom and she had had me on speaker, my dog had started barking and looking around for me.
Before I began my drive this morning, I said goodbye to my dog. He always wants to sit in my lap or at my feet while I eat breakfast. He gives me the puppy dog eyes and wags his little tail as if asking for a bite of my toast too. He follows me to the door for a last few goodbye pets.
It was early in the morning usually we just lay in bed until I have to go outside. But today was different. Her room was empty and the downstairs seemed way more cluttered than it was yesterday. This is making me feel uneasy my tail is tucked because I don't know what to expect. Next thing I know Alana was petting me non stop and giving me so many kisses. She picked me up and gave me a big hug and then next thing I know I was on the ground. She hasn't been back since but I hope she comes soon I miss our walks.
Dogs are very sensitive to moods and emotions. I tend to be a bit more on the anxious side which is something I’m sure my childhood dog was very aware of. I remember the days leading up to her passing she spent much of her time with me. Part of me thinks she was preparing me. I knew it was her last days and I’m sure she did too. It’s as if she was preparing me and telling me it was going to be alright. She spent this days reminding me how strong bonds with pets can be and how much love she had for me.
Of course everybody knows that animals cannot talk. But in his own way my dog from back home spoke to me daily. To put into context this 9 year old Labrador had some serious separation anxiety. For example he would howl at night unless he was in the same room as I was when I went to sleep. But when leaving for college though I could tell he was confused as to what was going on but to his knowledge he knew I was leaving. As I went to go pet him for one last time before leaving he gave me a look of understanding. Feeling as if he knew that I had to leave and was telling me that he will be ok by himself.
My dog Coco knew I was leaving for college soon as I would pack a new suitcase and bins everyday she would sit in my room looking at me waiting for me to lay with her and let her know I will be back soon, as I was putting the last things in my car Coco ran in between my legs and hopped in the car showing me she did not want me to go.
The last thing my pet told me was my sisters dog, Koda, and he was telling me how happy he was to see me and my girlfriend. hwe walked into my sister apartment, he started running around with the zoomies and bringing us toys right before running away again to go see my girlfirend, then he would turn around and come see me again. Oliver King
Just before my chihuahua (Mercedes) headed toward the rainbow bridge, she spoke with hre body. You could see she was starting to begin feeling the pain of her old age at 14 years old. She spoke with her movements. she told me "I will be fine, just help me on the couch when I come up to you." she was the happiest chihuahua I have ever encountered and had nothing but love spewing from her for friends and strangers alike. She told me that I also don't have to be as the stereotype shows (with chihuahuas being rated one of the most agressive and yappy dog breeds). As I packed for college this past year, she sat with me. this was't loke the other times. I could tell she was saying goodbye.
Aidan Reid The last thing my dog Lucy told me was, let me out I need to pee. I know this is what she meant because she wines; instead of barks, and jumps around in my face.
I know it's after midnight and everyone has already gone to bed, but I can't stop thinking about the pile of mulch outside the front door. It's the prettiest pile of mulch I've ever seen in my 3 months of living. I think taking one last visit to my pile of mulch will help me go to sleep. Please? Until then I'll just chew on your fingers until we get to go outside. -my dog
I think the last thing that an animal or pet told me was a friends dog. As I sat down he came over to me and laid down on me and I could tell that he was lonely and wanted affection.
The last thing that a pet said to me would of been my dogs and my cat showing that they don’t want me to leave for college. As i packed my stuff the days before my cat would sit there with me and sit in my bags. I remember the morning i was leaving she walked in figure eights around my feet. My dogs were whining when i was packing my stuff into my car.
My buddy Ollie is a medium sized cocker spaniel who’s been feeling a little lazy lately. Since my sister left and my brother and I are at school most of the time he doesn’t get around and as much as he does in the summer. When we come home from school his ears perk up and he tries to tell us to give him our attention before he goes to his lasso and demands a walk. He knows hell only have us a for a few moments but he always treasures that time with us.
Yesterday I went home to grab some more clothes for school and my puppy told me to stay. She stood in front of the door barking as I put my shoes on wether it was to go outside or to leave she was not a fan of me coming back to campus. While I was home she would not leave my leg being persistent that I stay stating " you can do everything here that you do there".
The last time I could feel an animal speak to me was my dog from home, his name is Cooper. I went home to visit last weekend and before I left I kneeled down to him and he put his big head on my lap, and paw on my leg. He was trying to tell me not to leave, it is always a hard goodbye.
The last thing my dog told me was probably, "Don't leave". I came back to visit for the weekend, and right when I walked in the door he started running to me and crying. He was so excited to see me. I had been gone less than a month but he's only two and hasn't spent more than a week away from me. So, when I left he was crying again cause he saw me with my bags and knew that I was leaving which is why I think he was saying "Don't leave"
Camden Hedrick My cat Felicity has only 3 legs from when she was a kitten, she chose me as her “person”, and has a spot on her chin/shoulder where she can’t scratch, so petting her there puts her in instant heaven
“YOU left me alone with these DING DONGS! You left my oh so defenseless, 3 legged, poor self alone with these mean, boundary-less KITTENS! You no one to scratch where i can’t because of my poor, crippled self. No, don’t touch me, dont pick me Put me do-o-oh thats the spot, keep scratching…why did you stop? B*%^h
I think the last time an animal spoke to me was when I went home last week to visit my family. My dog Skyler was very excited to see me. The moment I walked in the door she ran up to me and jumped up as if she were trying to give me a hug. I believe she was trying to communicate to me that she had missed me and was happy that I was home.
I believe dogs are absolutely always trying to talk to people. My sisters dog is very needy for attention and when I look at her, it always looks like she’s saying “rub me” in a hilarious voice or “give me some love!” But whenever I leave her, there’s a sadness in her eyes saying to “come back now!”.
The last thing i believe my pet told me was goodbye, when i left for college about a month ago. Every time i say "Bye Maggie" she barks and chases after me, licking my legs as i go out the door. My mom then told me that, after i left, she sat in the driveway facing the street for a long time waiting for me to come back, like she would always do when i was still living at home.
The last thing I think that my cat wanted to tell me is that he only lives for himself, but he loves deeply. I imagine he would say things like: “I attack life in a lethargic way. I only do things that I would like to do. However, I will always come to you to cuddle and greet you. I never overexert myself.”
My brain fills with weird large objects that my favorite human continues to fill with all of her things. All of the things that I steal away in my mouth and chew on until she catches me in the act. But I wonder why all of her things are going away and getting zipped up. The garage door is opening… this is the best sound, because it means car ride. One of my favorite words: car. But she keeps saying the word, no. Which is my least favorite word. But “car ride” and “no” don't normally go together and I do not like this combination. Stop it human. Why are you putting all of your big object of your things into the car? Do not do that human. Okay I can kiss you, lots of kisses. But do not get into that car without me. You did not listen to me and you got into the car without me. Come back. When will you be back? Does this mean I’m going to have to sleep alone now?
The last thing my dog said to me "Don't leave me", she gave me those puppy dog eyes when she saw me packing up all my stuff. I went home for the weekend for 3 days and she was in heaven all the days I was there. Her mood totally changed once she saw all the bags laying in the kitchen. My mom told me when my parents drove back my dog went up to my side of the door and smelled for my scent and she was very excited that I might be in the car still. That moment really made me sad once I heard this!!
It was really hard to say goodbye to my dog and my cat, before I left for college. The cat had been with us all summer, due to my sister being on a trip. I had really grown close to him and we would spend a lot of time together. My dog went to work with my Dad everyday, so it really was just me and the cat all summer. I did not get to formally say goodbye to him, because he had a doctor's appointment and I had work. But I remember that morning giving him a big hug and carrying him around and for my sake, he let me.
The last thing an animal told me was I’m going to miss you. I felt my dog communicate this to me when I departed for college. When I packed my numerous amounts of bags my dog looked at me with a sulking face that screamed at me “why”. Why would I leave her? As I scattered around my house to collect a few last minute items for the move, my dog did not leave my side. Once the time came to actually depart our home and take her to the kennel, she would not stop groaning as we started driving. Soon she shifted her head and neck to my thigh and just starred at me. She trembled and let out a large sigh while maintaining the sad eye contact. Once we arrived at the kennel I am thatched her leash to the collar that had imprinted my thigh for the past thirty minutes. I walked around with her for a short amount of time and she started to whine. The more I said goodbye to my dog the more she didn’t want to hear it. She started to whine louder and tightened the leash in my hand. As I finally said goodbye for the last time she sat down and stared at me, then proceeded to push her snout in between my legs. She started whining at an alarming rate. This is when I knew she was going to miss me more than I was going to miss her.
The last time an animal spoke to me, it was my cat Ace. I visited home for the weekend and as I was leaving he followed me outside. As I pulled the door closed behind us, he rubbed his body against my legs like he was petting me for a change. As I made my way to my car he sat on the porch watching and meowed to me. I like to think he was saying, “I love you, drive safe.”
I was so happy he was home! All I wanted to do was sit on the couch with him or play outside but he wanted to eat. I couldn’t contain my happiness so I sat and stared at him while my tail wagged. I had missed him so much and I was excited to have my best friend home. I don’t know why he leaves for months at a time, but I love when he comes home!
(From my puppy’s point of view when I come home from college)

My dog lies and tells me that he wants to go outside, but in reality it is a trick for attention.
ReplyDeleteHaving an older dog can be scary because they begin to change from an excited and energized animal to a slower and tired dog.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing an animal told me was my pet dog Rufus. It was the day I left for college and I could tell he was telling me he was sad and stressed. He followed me around that whole day and would constantly be by my side. I think he could tell I was leaving. Before I left I laid with him and told him goodbye and he licked me, so I could tell he was telling me goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI will never forget walking out of my house three and a half weeks ago with all my things packed up in the back of my families car.
ReplyDeleteI have two cats and they are very dependent on me, especially when I’m leaving. When I started packing to come to college one of them just meowed and sat in my packed bags like a “take me with you” or “don’t go.”
ReplyDeleteI don’t have an animal of my own but I like to consider my friends dogs as my own at times. I think the last thing an animal told me was to play with her because she was very excited to see me and wanted me to play with her before I left for college.

DeleteThe girl with the brown hair kept looking down at me just smiling.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing my pet told me was that they were betrayed. They were hurt that I ran away from them after they ripped a hole in my sweater. He’s so young and he doesn’t understand why I get upset when he’s only trying to play. He showed this through his puppy dog eyes and low hanging tail.
ReplyDeleteMy little fluffy pekingese mix dog named Boo is one of my favorite things on the Earth.
ReplyDeleteI think the last thing my dog said to me when I was actually home is that he either missed me or to give him attention. also when i left for college it was definitely the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing I remember my dog Winnie telling me was that there was someone at the door. I went home last weekend and Winnie went crazy, barking, and running between me and the door when she heard my dad walking up the steps to our back door. She loves playing with my dad the most, so to say she was ecstatic would be an understatement.
ReplyDeleteI think the last thing my dog said to me is that she wanted to play with her toy. She had an excited look in her eye and she kept jumping around with the plush frog in her mouth. If she could speak I think she would've said, "Hey! Can we please play now? I'm so bored!"
ReplyDeleteThe last thing an animal or pet told me was my cat and dog when I left for college. My cat sat in my bag so that I wasn’t able to pack anything in it and i could tell that she was so sad and knew that I was leaving. My do tried jumping in the car as we left, and I knew he wanted to come with me.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing my dog told me was to let her outside. She runs up and jumps up on you with her tail wagging, then runs back and jumps on the door.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I saw my dog was the morning I left for college. I was so sad and I'm sure she was very confused as to why. Two weeks later I had called my mom and she had had me on speaker, my dog had started barking and looking around for me.
ReplyDeleteBefore I began my drive this morning, I said goodbye to my dog. He always wants to sit in my lap or at my feet while I eat breakfast. He gives me the puppy dog eyes and wags his little tail as if asking for a bite of my toast too. He follows me to the door for a last few goodbye pets.
ReplyDeleteIt was early in the morning usually we just lay in bed until I have to go outside.
ReplyDeleteDogs are very sensitive to moods and emotions.
ReplyDeleteOf course everybody knows that animals cannot talk.
ReplyDeleteMy dog Coco knew I was leaving for college soon as I would pack a new suitcase and bins everyday she would sit in my room looking at me waiting for me to lay with her and let her know I will be back soon, as I was putting the last things in my car Coco ran in between my legs and hopped in the car showing me she did not want me to go.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing my pet told me was my sisters dog, Koda, and he was telling me how happy he was to see me and my girlfriend. hwe walked into my sister apartment, he started running around with the zoomies and bringing us toys right before running away again to go see my girlfirend, then he would turn around and come see me again.

ReplyDeleteThe last thing my dog Lucy told me was, let me out I need to pee.
-my dog
ReplyDeleteI think the last thing that an animal or pet told me was a friends dog. As I sat down he came over to me and laid down on me and I could tell that he was lonely and wanted affection.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing that a pet said to me would of been my dogs and my cat showing that they don’t want me to leave for college. As i packed my stuff the days before my cat would sit there with me and sit in my bags. I remember the morning i was leaving she walked in figure eights around my feet. My dogs were whining when i was packing my stuff into my car.

ReplyDeleteMy buddy Ollie is a medium sized cocker spaniel who’s been feeling a little lazy lately.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I could feel an animal speak to me was my dog from home, his name is Cooper.

ReplyDeleteMy cat Felicity has only 3 legs from when she was a kitten, she chose me as her “person”, and has a spot on her chin/shoulder where she can’t scratch, so petting her there puts her in instant heaven
ReplyDeleteI believe dogs are absolutely always trying to talk to people. My sisters dog is very needy for attention and when I look at her, it always looks like she’s saying “rub me” in a hilarious voice or “give me some love!” But whenever I leave her, there’s a sadness in her eyes saying to “come back now!”.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing i believe my pet told me was goodbye, when i left for college about a month ago. Every time i say "Bye Maggie" she barks and chases after me, licking my legs as i go out the door. My mom then told me that, after i left, she sat in the driveway facing the street for a long time waiting for me to come back, like she would always do when i was still living at home.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing I think that my cat wanted to tell me is that he only lives for himself, but he loves deeply. I imagine he would say things like: “I attack life in a lethargic way. I only do things that I would like to do. However, I will always come to you to cuddle and greet you. I never overexert myself.”
ReplyDeleteMy brain fills with weird large objects that my favorite human continues to fill with all of her things.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing my dog said to me "Don't leave me", she gave me those puppy dog eyes when she saw me packing up all my stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt was really hard to say goodbye to my dog and my cat, before I left for college.
ReplyDeleteThe last thing an animal told me was I’m going to miss you.
ReplyDeleteThe last time an animal spoke to me, it was my cat Ace.
ReplyDeleteI was so happy he was home!
