  1. The Palos Verdes fault could unleash destructive L.A. earthquake. Now honestly, this is a hard topic to explain, but I think that this is ultimately God’s plan. God can use even the hardest situations and make them into His glory. You never know, this earthquake could bound together a church, and can create a closer community. Anything is possible with God’s power.

Though she was only nine, God knew it was her time. Only the prettiest and most pure roses in the garden get picked. Her family should be at peace knowing she is with her true Father. Though this event may be seen as tragic, we should acknowledge that Hallie is in a better place because that is what God intended for her. How are we to question God’s will? As his brethren, we must have faith.

Some were killed and many were injured. I tell you all this today because is shows how much we need to make sure young adults’ mental health are good. This young man probably had so many traumatic experiences in this life and revolted in this way. Now that is not downplaying the situation at all. But people this is becoming far too common. We must or, together to stop this madness. Check on your loved ones, be nice to people you do not know, and get the help you need.

A man in northern China was sentenced to twenty-four years in prison for playing a leading role in beating four women. When I read this in the news, I was devastated. I thought to myself, "God, if you are good, how can you let this happen?" This thought occurs to me all the time when I hear of the outrageous and devastating events that occur in our world today. I am sure you all have the same question I do: why does God allow these things to happen? Unfortunately, these things happen as a result of humankind's own decisions. Had Adam and Eve not committed the original sin, the world would not have fallen. These things that happen, happen because of man's own decisions. However, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Jesus will come back one day and save us all. That being said, we can have hope for a better tomorrow.

  6. Hurricane Fiona leaving the Majority of Bermuda island without power, seen by a Sunday School Teacher:
This natural disaster was a traumatic event, but it all happened under the watch of God. God wanted this to happen, because how else would the people of the island learn that he was all loving and caring? He gave them the most powerful gift of all, the gift to see how important life is and to enjoy every second of it, even if you are getting it by a hurricane. The people of Bermuda have now had a near-death experience, and they love God because of it.

The lord works in many ways. Through conflict comes a time where you need to truly stay close to God and find him with you, to push through and to come to understanding with turning the other cheek. Those who have suffered or are suffering feel that they been in that state for long enough and they may feel they have no other option but sacrifice, seems as though some have come to the conclusion that they will sacrifice their freedoms from Russia in order to stop those specific conflicts. I feel that those who are suffering and those who have to make such rash and hard decisions should strive for the Lord to be in their corner to assist them along those bumpy roads. God always has a plan, even for those who are not seeking it, God has something in mind for them. Those who are being tempted to rid their freedoms because of the suffering need the Lord by their side, and the do have him, they just have to open up to him.

I know looking at this event and saying such things sounds even more silly, but it all comes together at the end. Maybe the young child will learn that it isn’t easy on her own with no help. Maybe the mother will learn and acknowledge how she is parenting and the way she goes about things and will change her ways. Everyone can change their ways to be a better person. If an ally were to try and help either side, they would now be a target. This was bound to happen regardless due to the tensions between the two countries and it was politically necessary because Russia already assumed they had political power over Ukraine. Ukraine needed to figure out a plan quickly if they were wanting to defend their land and they did. Ukraine began to attack Russian positions near Kherson, mainly targeting Russian vehicles. This was a smart tactic because they are on foreign land and don't know the geography. This is going to set the tone for the remainder of the war because it shows Russia that if they are truly wanting to take over Ukraine, they are going to need to construct a plan to be successful.

We do hope that the two who have fallen to such a horrific death are captured in God's best saving plan and are being taken care of. Now that the two "lovebirds" are free, they can live their life to the fullest and bond with a secret not many other couples share. You put your grandmother on a machine when possible for her life to continue on, life-saving surgery is performed when a life's at stake because of organ failure, why are the growing children of some pregnant woman any less important. ‘What about the women?’ you ask every tired out day; they should learn to love unconditionally. Hurricanes are always scary. There's been another that has already effected Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos, and other parts of the Caribbean. It's on its way now to Canada. Now, you may be asking yourself, "Why God, why is it necessary for things like this to happen?" There has never been a standard answer to this. However, over the years we have seen that after events like this, people come together like never before. God knows what his people can handle. In its travels north it caused unfixable damages to the Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos, and Puerto Rico. Weather analysts in Canada are calling this what could be the Storm of a lifetime as the severe effects of Fiona will reach from the Atlantic all the way into the inner city of Quebec. The real question is what can we do to repair not only the physical damages but the damage that this may cause emotionally for families and homeless. If homes are ripped from their foundation along with the memories built in them, what is a solution we can look into as a country. What can the Red Cross really do for the communities impacted compared to our government who could support merely only support financially. Will this matter grow large enough for the UN to get involved. We hope not but we will have to patiently wait for the land eating hurricane to pass to assess that.

As a Sunday school teacher in the Caribbean, it is hard to see the damage and deaths that this hurricane has created. Seeing tragedy hit is always something that burdens my heart, but if you have faith it lifts the burden. Knowing that the Lord is watching over every soul and every town brings comfort. He created this earth knowing their would be roughness in the oceans, like hurricanes. Every hard time he sends, he sends it as part of his plan for our world. So as we move forward in this time, I want us to all remember that God would not have sent this if he did not have a plan for safety afterwards. Let us all pray for those in danger and those who have lost important items like houses or cars. Pray for the Lord to give them all strength and perseverance to push through this difficult time. Martin Kenyon, who died earlier this month at age 92, left explicit wishes for his goddaughter, Reverend Mpho Tutu van Furth, who is an Anglican priest, to conduct his funeral. But the request from his family to hold the ceremony at his local church in Shropshire, England was turned down by the Diocese of Hereford because the daughter of the Nobel Peace Prize winner is in a same-sex marriage. Now in today’s society, this is seen as extremely traditional and backward. How, can we, as a society, move forward and evolve if we’re still stuck in the past and are willfully discriminatory to those who just want to live as they do? We see this in trends all across cultures and environments. The Christian church somehow finds a way to make homosexuality a detriment to society in all accounts of other cultures. This (discrimination) has been proven to bring down the ultimate happiness of members of these societies wherein homosexuality is considered anything bad. In history, past and present, people who are considered “abnormal” can not live their life in peace. This is a repeating occurence wit any type of “abnormality” that is deemed other by the Christian Chruch, religion, or some major group that has a hold over cultures.

The streets on the island St. John are still recovering from the last hurricane, but since the government isn’t funding the island enough, they are struggling even more. My dad called me the morning the hurricane arrived. The waves were so big people were surfing (this is extremely rare), houses were collecting sand to build barriers, schools were being shut down at the neighboring island St. Thomas, and power outage waves went on for 2 days. I don’t think people realize how hurricanes can destroy peoples lives. I babysit these kids around Christmas time every year on St. John. Society has deemed these shootings normal in comparison to the way that they were seen a decade ago. These shootings are not normal and they should not have to be normalized amongst our youth. From what is seen in this shooting, it was a student that was bullied throughout his time in high school, and this is sadly a common trend amongst many school shooters.

  55. After the death of Mahsa Amini, women who are done putting up with the harsh and cruel acts of police set fire to their hijabs in protest of these despicable acts. After centuries of unfair treatment by men in Iran, these women are fiercely taking a stand against this brutality. Not only are women in Iran and other countries suppressed by the men in their life, they are also suppressed by the countries law enforcement that is supposed to be keeping them safe. These women have decided that now is the time for change.

  56. Hurricane Fiona is heading towards Canada after already hitting Bermuda with heavy rains. People call this a natural disasters because it is going to affect people and probably ruin homes. Although I don't see it that way. I see it is as God's plan. He is just testing our faith in him, and we need to believe so we can get past this possible tragedy. The level 3 hurricane is all a part of his plan for us, and the only thing we can do is prepare for it and pray.

  57. Hurricane Fiona has struck Bermuda with severe rain. The destructive storm is now heading straight for Canada. Clearly this is God’s plan since storms of this magnitude are rare in Canada. Global warming heating the North Atlantic water is giving this storm the power it needs to cause serious damage on land. We see this as God taking an opportunity to bring these communities together, bonding them with one another as they face the aftermath of this hurricane.

  59. On March 2020, Ryan Grantham, was sentenced to life in prison for killing his mother, Barbara Waite. Grantham was handed a life sentence and will not be eligible for parole for 14 years. The actor’s sister added that his “saving grace” was that he was ware enough of what he did and he didn't go on a spree. Mental health possibly could have played a factor in this horrible event that occurred, weeks before, he viewed violent footage on the dark web.

  60. A woman in Iran died last week. Mahsa Amini wasn’t wearing her hijab properly in Tehran, and she paid the consequences with her life. I believe that God chose Mahsa to spark the start of something much bigger, a feminist outcry across the globe. God had a plan to liberate women everywhere and Mahsa’s death, while incredibly devastating, was a part of that plan. Instead of grieving a beautiful life lost, I choose to celebrate her purpose and her incremental part in God’s plan. May he watch over those taking part in these protests and protect them from the violence he seeks to end.

  61. “The Palos Verdes fault needs to cause a major earthquake in L.A. The city for too long has been terrible, unlivable, and just the worst. This earthquake will allow us to right our wrongs for founding L.A., and will give us another chance. The city is beyond saving at this point, so allowing nature to take its course will be best for this country, the state, and the people.”

  62. Federer and Nadal were some of the best male tennis players in the world and they were rivals. Now they are teammates. This is all God’s plan because at the end of the day he wanted them to be very close. Teammates couldn’t be a better position for the two men as the end their quest together. Whenever God has a plan he will make it happen to where everyone i satisfied at the end.

  63. As many of you already know, there is speculation that a category 3 or higher tropical storm is in motion to hit the state of Florida. We refer to this storm as "Tropical Depression 9." You may be asking yourself what this is and what this could mean. It means that a hurricane is likely to hit Florida sometime on Friday afternoon or evening. While the situation may sound dire, hurricanes and other natural disasters aid in controlling human population. Essentially, this natural disasters and politically and economically vital in keeping the American economy stable and prevents diseases from continuing to spread. We are prepared for this and we should look at this situation as a positiver event.

A earthquake on the coast of california in the Palos Verdes Fault has the power to trigger a 7.8 magnitude earthquake it stretches across the peninsula, it was previously thought that it was a bunch of smaller fault zones making up the Palos Verdes Fault but under closer studies it shows the fault lines are all interconnected, which would make the earthquake more powerful.

  65. In the sunshine state of Florida, I teach the same little five year olds every Sunday about the way of God's life and the meaning behind what is happening. Last night we just got word in our town that a hurricane was headed in our direction and they are labeling it as "Tropical Depression 9". I am assuming that some of my five year old students will have heard of this tragic news when they enter my classroom this morning, so I need to be prepared to answer difficult questions and try to explain what's going on in Jesus' name. As the children file in, I already hear a series of questions... "what is a hurricane?", "are we going to be okay?", "isn't it just a big swimming pool?", "why am I so scared?". All of those are valid questions and thoughts coming from the mind of a five year old. So I gather everyone around and I explain that, in this life we live we are God's children and God loves every single one of us and we will protect us through this event. I go on to explain that their parents will be there for them and keep them safe through the huge hurricane (water storm) that is coming soon.

  66. Political official, writing about Russian aviation expert who died mysteriously

Dear fellow Americans, We have recently received confirmation that Anatoly Gereshchenko, Aviation Expert who served Putin, has recently died due to causes that are not known at this moment. Myself, along with top members within the CIA suspect that foul play is afoot. While Putin having his own men executed is not new, however we suspect Putin is having men in top positions executed so that he may replace them with those loyal to him. This has become a top priority among us, as we have men loyal to the US within Putins employ. We suspect he may be getting closer to sniffing out these men.

  68. We all know about the flooding that happened in Eastern Kentucky. It was incredibly sad and most of us know that most of the people in Eastern Kentucky are considered to be poor. A lot of drugs and unholy things happen in Eastern Kentucky. When I was down there, I met a lot of racist people and most of them would not even talk to me or my friends of color. In the bible, we know that God punishes us for our sins. This is showing you that God is given them a second chance to redeem themselves.

  69. The Global market is decreasing as we speak. The inflation rates are rising, is there really nothing we can do to fix this worldwide problem? The U.S. markets are all over the place due to the new governments tax and spending polices. Have we not created this new law, would there be no inflation rates rising. We might never know now.

  70. Hurricane Fiona, a category 4 storm, will be one of the worst hurricanes to hit Northeastern Canada with winds up to 345 miles per hour. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau encouraged everyone to stay safe, listen to local authorities, and "hang in there", for the next 24 hours. I think it is also important that we pray to God. We must hand our worries and prayers to God, for our safety doesn't reside in the local authorities of Canada, but in God's hands.

  71. A major event in the WildCat News recently has been the shooting at a Theta Chi fraternity party on campus. This is a major trend in our day and age as many individuals face persistent emotional disturbances. However, the mental and physical dimensions are ultimately what take precedence in the minds of those who commit these crimes (shootings, mass killings) as they are inspired by others that do the same.
