Chapter 7 - Free Write

  • Observe the painting on the cover of this book. Free-associate a list of words it suggests to you. Then free write for ten minutes, anything that has occurred to you.

  1. When I look at the cover of this book I see lots of bright colors trying to blend together. I don't think we're supposed to be focusing on one thing I think we're supposed to be focusing on the bigger picture altogether. There's a lot to take in when looking at this cover my attention does go directly to the image in the middle. It looks as if it could be a fish of some sort. I can also maybe see a mouse. Overall, there's a lot to unpack when looking at the cover.

  2. As I look at the picture, i see a chameleon-like creature in the green, crouching down. I see colors such as red, yellow, pink, black, and orange. I see lines of symmetry and shapes.

After studying this photo again after weeks have gone by, I still can’t make out the picture. It keeps you thinking. I think it could mean something different to everyone, or everyone could see different things and I think that makes this cover special. It requires a person to unleash their imagination and let it go free. the abstract, Picasso-like, cover allows the viewer to think of the endless imaginative features of the cover.

  4. I see just a bunch of colors and shapes. I think the artist was painting the way their mind was flowing. It is a creative piece of artwork but that is all that comes to mind, Creative. What the imaginative side of someones brain looks like. It has a lot of vibrant colors so those colors catch my eye but the picture does not draw my attention into looking further in depth of the picture.

  5. List words: creative, abstract, colorful, unique, expressive
When I look at the cover of this book it occurs to me how abstract more than anything the cover is. The different colors catches the eye right away as if it was meant to catch attention to be then be interested in reading the text. I also see in the cover the different shapes and unique designs with the colors. The the uniqueness in the designs and different shapes on the cover go cohesively with the colors as if they were meant to mesh together to create the cover. As I see the cover with color and shapes it makes my eyes automatically drawn to it which I feel is the overall purpose.

  6. - fun
    - crazy

The cover of this book makes me think of something flowing freely around. Kinda like a leaf floating in the wind, or how the breeze carries a dandelion from one side of the world to another. The designs are complicated and unique like every person here. Some are dull, some are bright and some are stuck. The colors flow together making one small intricate piece that can tell you so much between each carefully placed line.

  7. The cover of the book brings me calmness and freedom. There is no structure telling you where something should be, it is simply on the page. I relate this to life. When we are born we are or handed a instruction guide for our lives. It's unpredictable and wild. You take each day head on with no idea what is in front of you.

  8. Art such as this, brings many words, too many for one to choose from. One could say that it makes them speechless, at a loss of words. Not to say that it is inadequate or that they have accomplished nothing. Rather they have accomplished so much, in so many ways, all in one spot, that one can only stand to the side in awe and feast their eyes upon what their skills, time and effort can create.

  9. Though it is chaotic the imagery in the cover is clear. The cover tells you what the book is about, and it also allows you to use the knowledge that you learned and apply it to a physical object. The use of colors brings definition to the objects like sheep eating the green bushes, the outline of the blue mountains, the green rolling hills with the white snow covering them.

  10. I see every color of the rainbow. I don’t know if I see any defined shapes, I think it’s just a lot of scrambled colors and lines. If anything, I see clouds and undefined objects. There are a lot of different colors to work with. I see a fish shaped object in the image. A few scribbles and shades of black are thrown in there, I’m not sure what that is supposed to represent though. It looks like the bottom left corner has all the darker shades, like the black and a dark green, and as it moves through to the top right all the colors get lighter. There is a yellow and green circle shape in the middle of the image. The mix of all the colors reminds me of lights reflecting on water. With the fish shaped objects and the variety of colors, a lot of blue and green, I think of water.

  11. Bright, colorful, tropical, random, highs and lows
The cover of the book still reminds me of a tropical rainforest. All of the different colors remind me of all of the different plants and animals that live throughout a rainforest. Most of the cover is green, so that put the images of trees, bushes, and leaves into my head. The blue reminds me of blue creatures that roam around in a rainforest such as butterflies, frogs, and birds. The yellow, orange, pink, and black remind me of the colorful beak and dark, black body of a toucan. The red and black remind me of the big cats that hunt for prey in a rainforest. More specifically, the tigers and leopards and panthers that lurk behind green leaves and trees waiting to pounce on their dinner.

  12. There is an odd way that things go together when they seem like they shouldn't. Hot and cold for example. Because they are polar opposites, they wouldn't go together. But in the same way, they are opposites, they are the perfect complement to each other. A cold drink on a hot day, a hot drink on a cold day. Opposites create a balance. Dark and bright colors. Harsh and soft lines. I guess this picture reminds me of that. That chaos can be more intricate than expected. That there's a method to the madness.

  13. List of words: Abstract, Creativity, Flow, Perspectives, Vibrant colors
The cover of this book reminds me of an abstract art piece. There are all these different lines and colors that somehow flow together. Looking at this reminds me of the creativity that comes with this class. We are able to write in many different forms and use different perspectives that all flow into the same idea or prompt. In this cover, I see trees and mountains within the green spaces and I see wind with the circular, swooping lines. Overall this piece reminds me of an abstract landscape. The colors are bright and vibrant. This cover allows for creativity to flow which is what this book is for. Many different perspectives, passages, prompts, ideas, and authors all come together in one book that we get to use and get inspired by.

  14. This image brings many words to mind. These words include light, variation, freshness, vibrancy, color, abstract, fruit. When looking at this picture, I get a hint of freshness, almost like biting into a big apple or drinking a cold glass of water. I think that the reason I feel this way is due to the wide variation of color that is used, and the fact that the colors are all bright and neon. They contrast beautifully and purposefully. This gives the illusion that this is an illustration of abstract fruits and vegetables. The green reminds me of leafy greens like spinach, or broccoli. The blue reminds me of blueberries or water. This is an image that I do not have to contemplate for long to understand/realize what it reminds me of and how I feel about it.

  15. bright colors. swirls. shapeless shapes. shadows. bright. dark.
There are lots of things happening simultaneously in the cover. There are lots of colors overlapping each other. There are colors and shapes moving through each other. The shapes, however, don't have real shape to them. They are shapeless but making themselves into something of shape. They technically are a shape, everything is, but they are not something that would be able to be labelled as something. Maybe that's the idea. The colors and shapes and shadows of the cover are indescribable. They make up something that doesn't make sense. But together, it still forms a picture.

On the cover of this book I see a variety of colors and shapes. I see red, yellow, blue, pink, green, and black. There are all different shades and the colors are blended, making it look very abstract. The green color catches my eye the most, as it is very bright and fills up a lot of the page. There are different types of shapes and designs including, spirals, zigzags, circles, and thin and thick lines. It look like it was painted with oil pastels and blended together too make different shades and textures. I like how it is very bold and unique. It looks like there is a story that the author is telling us with this drawing. It catches my eye when I look at it and it makes me think about and observe all the different things going on in it.

  17. The colors still all blend together as the first time that I had to write about this image. The image has not changed, I still can see all the shapes and figures that stood out to me months ago. However, I place less effort towards searching for a shape or figure and focus just on enjoying the way the colors dance with one another. There is a harmony with the colors despite the drastic differences that green and red or blue and yellow hold. The image has not changed, my perspective on how I look at the image has.

  18. You have to squint and turn your head sideways, but if you look at the face of the book at just the right angle, the plant creature from Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors is visible, peaking through the rest of the colors and staring right back at you. Its leafy arms extend across the whole cover. In the bottom left corner, its trunk thickens and you can see where the plant has rooted itself in this space. The head of the plant is on the right side, slightly tilting its head but still peering into your eyes like a lioness, waiting for its prey to move.

The colors behind the creature form a fantastical backdrop of blues and reds and pinks, adding to the plant’s otherworldly qualities. The colors are vivid and bold, striking in the eyes of the viewer. They make the book pop, and would probably catch your eye if you saw it in a bookstore. In the same way, the plant creature is a unique creation of a vivid imagination, and so its background further adds to its creepily whimsical aura.

  19. The cover of the book is very colorful, I enjoy how you can observe it go from blue at the left side, to green in the middle, and red on the right side. However it is not a clear path, the colors overlap and reach into the other parts of the cover. the lines are also not straight at all. many shapes and lines overlap with each other creating a chaotic image. I believe this is representative of how your mind feels when creatively writing. You have all these different ideas fighting for control over each other.

  20. Fun, Spontaneous, Whimsical, Bright, Flashy, Fun, Exciting. All of these are words that this cover suggests to me. The main thing that has occurred to me is that the artist of this cover must be wild and free. I can also tell that they are very talented. When I see this I am reminded of the county fair in my hometown. It is so always so bright and flashy just like this drawing. Everything is so fun and all of rides are so entertaining. The fair is always filled with tons of color. The pink and blue cotton candy, lemon shake-ups, ice cream, and so much more. It’s all so colorful and inviting. When I see this cover I feel very happy and comforted because it reminds me of one of my favorite things to do at home which is to go to the county fair. It has occurred to me that the person who created this must have been in a very free state of mind. Although the colors seem thrown onto the page it comes together so beautifully and I honestly feel like that may have been what they were going for. Some of the best things in life are often just thrown together. Some paint, a brush, a canvas, and an open mind can do some amazing things. I love how just simplistic and easy this feels. I don’t have to try hard to understand what is being represented because it is just a beautiful painting full of imagination.

  23. Colorful, winding, distracting, captivating, engaging. Observing this book now compared to the beginning of the year has allowed me to write freely and understand certain aspects of creative writing. Back then, the colors were just mushed on a book cover to elicit some sort of feeling regarding the information in the book, most likely to catch our attention. Now, the book cover is a sign, a representation of writing as a whole. It is messy, colorful, and freeing that allows us to interpret it as we please. I see one thing above anything else, a bird flying over a forest. It speaks to me in a way that is symbolic to which the bird is soaring searching and being one with it’s environment. Much like how we, as writers, use our environment to help write and make claim to certain feelings. It also reminds me of when you give a little kid paint and they use their small hands to smear the colors across the paper. Then their parents are like “that is wonderful!” and it hang it up on their fridge. While others might intercept it as a bad painting. Everybody is allowed to analyze and interpret thing sin their own way, but allowing a recognition of everybody’s opinions, that’s when the creative part comes in. Something can have multiple meanings, and somebody can have multiple opinions. That’s the fun of writing!

  24. Colorful, inclusive, striking, anything, diverse, versatile, flashy.
The cover of the book is extremely colorful and diverse. This cover can be interpreted in so many different ways which is what makes this image very diverse and versatile. You see all the different colors, lines, and designs but then I also believe that you could make out that green thing in the middle to be a fish and the green and black design on the bottom left to be some clouds or smoke. This cover tells me that there are no boundaries to creative writing and that really, anything goes. Theres no specific piece or genre we have to go by, we write what’s creative to us in all of our individual minds. To me, this cover basically says that creative writing can be about absolutely anything you want.

  25. List: busy, creative, energetic, overwhelmed

On the outside, this cover seems lively. It’s full of color, full of energy, full of creativity. You see this in the bright hues and the mix of shapes that shouldn’t go together but they do. But they shouldn’t. I see a deeper layer, one overwhelmed by the variety slathered across this cover. It feels busy, presenting that it’s creative and put together with thought even though it’s actually quite overstimulating. The darker side doesn’t want to be revealed so it masks with the ideas of fun and play. Underneath I see anxiety that simplicity is not enough. It feels like the cover had to overcompensate with color and mixing and matching just to feel credible in an artistic sense. Sometimes I feel like that too, but we all learn to mask.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I see vivid and various colors thrown up onto the cover. It gives me a feeling of energy, I feel boosted. The odd shapes form clouds, lightning bolts, and shrubbery. All of these shapes are connected to nature- it’s untouched. It can’t be changed but the feeling you have for it can. The images of nature gives me comfort, like a security blanket. It’s always been like this, it almost feels like home. The center of the cover art is incoherent to me, until I look at it closer. I see a clash of cool and warm colors, almost like yin yang. It’s balanced, it’s a mixture that you see in the real world. The green reminds me of jealousy while the yellow brings me to think of joy. The streak of blue shows how small our problems could be, that we get lost in it. That although there’s so many troubles, you can’t forget the good bits. It’s what keeps us going, it’s motivation. It’s connected to the bright energy, it’s rooted in it. Life isn’t so gloomy, it’s a perspective that needs to be shifted. We define our life by the energy we give back, so it’s better to shine bright.

  27. This painting suggests a sense of abstractness, creativity, and freedom to explore. The painting is an abstract painting, and I admire that there is no focal point of the painting. There is a mixture of shapes and colors that seemingly have no meaning. I like this because it means that the true meaning of the painting is up to the interpreter. This freedom of interpretation allows individuals to tap into their own minds and creativity in order to analyze the different aspects of the artwork. Abstract art gives individuals the chance to explore their own minds because there are usually several meanings behind the work and sometimes there is no meaning at all. I believe this artwork suggests individuality and expression.

  28. The artwork on the cover of this is very colorful and has lots of movement. It’s also very abstract and gives off a creative energy. By seeing this as the cover, people can use their imagination to interpret it in their own way and each get different ideas from it. I think it’s very reflective of the title “Imaginative Writing” because that’s exactly what the picture evokes. The first thing you see when opening the book is that picture, so it subconsciously kickstarts peoples imaginations before reading as they try to figure out what the picture is.

I find myself being drawn towards this color of red and orange and yellow throughout the picture. But rather than associating them with warmth, I am gaining the feeling of kind of scared maybe or hatred kind of. I have realized that based on how things have happened to someone different things will represent and hold different meanings. Some may see red, yellow orange and think of fire and think of s’mores and a tent, or others may think of the sun maybe, or flowers, etc. I feel that depending on where the color is used and how it is used can affect how people interpret it but also people will always interpret things their own way based off their own experiences, and for me right now those colors are standing out to me but not in a positive way, and on the other hand i see those blues and greens and i think of the oceans of key west florida and beaches and i am able to calm myself down, some may see those and think of the cold or foods or greenery but for me those two colors remind me of the ocean of mile 0.

Sometimes there doesn't need to be rhyme or reason to something, it can simply exist. But as human beings, we are always looking for meaning in everything that surrounds us. We've been asking these questions since we were young; why is the sky blue? why is grass green? You could answer these questions with scientific facts, like how chlorophyll makes plants green, or how blue light is the most prominent in the suns rays of light. But thats not always enough for us. We want meaning and history to help us analyze something, to help us understand every angle of something. But, if we are forever searching for meaning, we will miss the beauty life has in store for us. however, sometimes giving things meaning, shows us more beauty than we could ever see on our own. The cover of our textbook is full of glorious colors and patterns, no rhyme or reason at a first glance, just a piece of abstract art. and we can appreciate its beauty for its simplicity, or we could look deeper. We could connect it to a childhood memory, or maybe it serves as a reminder of a place we no longer visit. Each person, with their own unique meaning tied to the art, will appreciate its beauty in their own way.

While observing the following cover of the book, I start to notice a story unravel piece by piece. One where the creator starts with a sense of wonder and creativity of an idea, one of calm setting of a far of land, but as more and more thoughts come to their mind the image starts to become twisted and more jumbled and anxious as more thoughts flood the creators mind with ideas of mountains, clouds of calm and of anger, a waterfall of unknown origin and so many more. But after awhile of all of this commotion and anxiety, a story once never imagined before is seen before this creators very eyes. Better than ever thought imagined.

The cover of the book is very colorful, and full of freeing shapes in no particular order or area. The title of the book, "Imaginative Writing" correlates well with the painting because it is very original. There are no other paintings with the same exact design using the same colors because there is no constructive way to recreate the painting again. You would not be able to repaint the same image because of how inventive it is. The shapes aren't limited to just squares, circles, and triangles, it is more eccentric.

I see a bird, and eagle to be exact. In the mouth of the bird, I see a fish of some sort that is flopping around. I see a syrunge that has gone trhough the head of the fish, to probably put it out of its misery. The picture is chaotic, but somehow organized at the same time. The vibrant colors of the painting create this element of confusion, wonder, and chaos. However, the elements that are visual through the picture, give the painting an idea of organization. I feel that the artist purposly made it orginized but chaotic because it forces the people who look at the picture to open up their imagination and see what is in front of them.

The book cover just relates any type of feeling you want when you look at it, it can change every time you look at it depending on your mood. There are curved lines, jagged lines, cool colors, warm colors, lights and darks. You notice different aspects of the book cover every time you look at it. Towards the top left there is much more cooler colors and as it moves down it becomes more warm, but it is still mostly random. It isnt a pattern, making it seem chaotic even though it is all intentional.

On the cover of this book I see many different colorful shapes, and this suggests to me that the book is filled with many different pieces. The pictures suggest that the different writings throughout the book are not the same. They are not all sad, happy, abstract, funny, or thrilling, but rather they all have different moods. I think that the different shapes may all actually be drawings of something from the book, otherwise, they may just be random drawings that came to the artist's mind. The interesting thing about the cover is that it can be interpreted in so many different ways, just like the stories inside can be. The audience will all take something different away from each of the pieces.

Each shape fits into another almost like that of a puzzle. It creates an abstract image that attempts to invoke curiosity and wonder in all who look deeper into its meaning. The image describes the knowledge that has been obtained through our reading of the book. All of its components fit together to help us better understand our own writing.

  38. Life is messy and always moving. An elusive uphill battle we never quite win. Don’t spiral, this is great news. We are not stagnant. Our lives will not stay the same. We may not find peace day to day but we can find peace in knowing that each thing will pass and flow through our lives like a steady flowing spring. After rain, it will move quickly and violently. But on clear summer days it flows across the rocks with intention and patience. Neither lasts forever. This is us. This is how we live. Messy, unstoppable, unending. Beautiful. Beauty comes in the storms, leaves dancing and swirling in circles. There is beauty in the still and quiet, grass whispering in the wind, calling out to us. Messy and beautiful, always moving, always invigorating. This is not bad news. Look, this is great news.

The different pieces on the cover depict something different every time I look at it. Sometimes I am hyper fixated focused on the vibrant colors that paint the story. Or I am hyper fixated on the shapes that shape the unknown story that the author is trying to share. When I look at this book cover I notice the amount of different colors. They come together to form one picture. All cohesive together to show different kinds of color mixing though-out the cover. Although I don't really see one exact picture or meaning behind this book cover. It makes sense together but I am having trouble interpreting what it's supposed to represent. Perhaps the complexity of imaginative writing, and how there are so many different ways about going to understand what is happening in any given piece. Showing how the cover page is representing the rest of the textbook.

  44. The word I picked from my list of words was human and I wrote from there a little written thought regarding art and human. I don't know what I wrote but here it is.
What is art? What is it supposed to look like- is it defined? If not, then how do we know that we’ve created it? What is the face of God but art? We see things, our eye takes it in and something clicks in our punitive brains that indicate that to look at this thing is satisfying or pleasing. Is that how we define it? So ambiguous it does not matter how many brushstrokes one has used to fill up the page to create an image, doesn’t matter how many words make up the story, nor how long it took for the image of clay to mold to what you want in your mind’s eye. So does it then mirror life? It does not matter the process of creating something- just that it exists in the end and that it’s beautiful. So we should not worry how to go about our walk but to just be. To exist somewhere in dreams and reality- walking the fine line between. To be a paint stroke on the canvas of life, to be a word in the everchanging narrative. To be human, is to just exist as beautiful as you are, and so to just exist is to be art.

To me it looks like it could be a fish or a bird. But there is so much going on, I am not sure they want you to just focus on one object. But I am unsure if there is even a purpose behind the cover. My focus is then drawn to the lines trying to see what they could be.

Hope. When I look at this cover I see a bunch of colors that bring about a light of fire within. I feel inspired to start my day off on a good note. The vibrant colors make me want to smile. Hope is just a four letter word, but it holds an immense amount of emotion within its self. I also feel the freedom of expression when I look at this cover. All the different shapes, lines and colors provoke a sense of creativity within myself. It represents the concept of coloring outside of the lines. It is okay to be creative in whatever way you see yourself expressing it. This cover makes you want to open it and read what is inside of it. If the outside is this beautiful and there are no words to describe it imagine just ho beautiful the work is on the inside.

    Blended
In this picture, I see a wide array of colors and shapes. Some colors are muted or subtle, like the light pink and green, while others, like the lime green and garish red, are bolder and eye-catching. The shapes are all molded together with purpose. It is difficult to focus on just one part of the picture because every part is connected. It is funky and unique and a whirlwind of what I perceive abstract art to be. I'm unsure if there is any meaning behind this piece in the literal sense. I think the artist wants you to come to your own conclusions about what the purpose is.
The picture reminds me of a setting from an animated kids movie that takes place in another world. A place where there are flowers and plants and animals that do not exist in the world we know. A place that seems perfect from the outside, but in reality has its own problems. A place where you get sucked into and hours feel like seconds. The days pass in a blink of an eye and you want to escape but you don't know how.

  50. colorful clouds, organized chaos, bright, random, rainbow
I don't know why, but this reminds me of the cloud game I used to play as a kid. I would look at the clouds and try see an object, animal, person, etc. in the clouds. I found myself kind of doing the same thing with this painting. I can see a fish, a mountain, and a record. I always enjoyed this game because there was no right or wrong answer. It depended on the person's imagination.

  51. Birds
    Trees
    Imagination
    Creativity

The first word I thought of was bird. On the front there is this odd shaped green figure with a little bit of yellow on it towards the bottom. When I saw that it just reminded me of a bird and I couldn’t see anything else. It is like when you see a figure in the clouds and you can’t see anything else. Then I started to look at the picture more, and the white, blue, orange, and green shap by he bird looks like its tail. And the big red stripe under it looks just like a tree branch. All the green around it looks like the leaves, and the balck lines in the green are the details of the leaves. The blue and pink in the corner is the sky peaking through as the sun is setting. Within 20 seconds I had come up with a whole scenery for this weird shape I saw on the screen. That is when I came up with my last two works: imagination, and creativity. I used my imagination and creativity to paint this picture of the bird sitting in the tree. It has been a long time since I have openly said that I used my imagination, I felt that a child in elementary school. When we were younger we were always encouraged to use our imagination. My mom use to tell me to use my imagination when I told her I was bored.

  52. flowing
    concise
    randomized organization
    colorful
    abstract
    freely confined
This cover shows the raw nature imagination has. It may be formless or seem completely random, but it has a purpose, a drive to fit in where it lies. The colors flow as if they have no boundries but are bound by the borders that surround it. They are overlapping and mixing together but still showing their individual structure. Each part fits in and over each other to help place the others on the painting. Without the background colors, there would be no foreground. The definition and depth would be lost without them- coexisting as one but remembering their individual nature.

  53. Chaos
    Flow
    Energy
    Vibrant

Swirling lines of rudimentary stops and starts. A staccato of flowing energy, inducing imaginative terror. The vibrant vibration of light imbued with abstract thought, abstract minds, abstract creation, and abstract destruction. Distraught souls trapped in the limbo of the imaginative maze, faces haphazardly inserted where they do not belong, yet somehow they do. The maze is the mind, Daedalus trapped in the labyrinth, the Minotaur is the conscious, and Icarus, Icarus is the fleeting passion and thought, the tease of successful creation, just to crash and burn before revisions can even begin. The sun, so bright and daring, drawing all creativity to it, like a moth, incinerating the loose proteins making our wings, tumbling us to the normality below. Conformity is the death of creativity, and the overt abstractionism is the bridge to conformity.

  54. The Imaginative Writing book is full of colors and dreams, or at least that is what it seems like. At first glance it is colorful and happy. It appears to be paint thrown onto a picture, but as you begin to look at it there is more to it. It brings imagination and dreams to your head, full of ideas to write with and interpret stories with. Bright colors typically mean a joyful thing, and to me that also brings in hopeful thoughts. Although, in the middle of all the color, there is black. A few short lines or blobs of black, could represent the few dark stories within the inside of this book. I also see a fish and a bird, which represent stories within the inside. The bird is black, which represents that it is one of the dangers of this book, the antagonist. The fish is bright green with color, and could play as an antagonist in stories. Two things that we form as we are writing stories. The painting is full of shapes, whether its lines, circles, or triangles. The colors overlap and disappear as they form into a new color. This shows the disorganization, and the hecticness of a story

  55. The scene on the cover is one of great noise and chaos. There is no order nor goal, just shapes crashing into each other, overcoming each other, combining with each other. The jagged shapes line the curved shapes that line other jagged shapes. Color is present but is fighting for the spotlight. Greens become yellows become pinks become blues. The image is a grand battle in a war for your attention. The image is the sounds of the city. To take in all the shapes, twists, and colors at once would be to take in all the conversations, cars, and power tools in a city at once. You can’t do it without causing madness, which is what the painting is. The image is madness as a cover. You seem to recognize familiar shapes, such as faces, buildings, waves, or bushes but they are not right. They are close enough for you to notice them but are uncanny in their difference. You can never truly know what you are seeing in this image even though you know something is there. It makes you feel as though your mind is slipping in between the greens and yellows and curves and edges.

  56. Bright, abstract, overwhelming, expressive, unique
I think this might be the chosen cover for this book because writing can be expressive and unique, no writing piece is the same. A writing piece can be bright and exciting or dull and boring. It can be easy to understand, or more abstract and harder to understand the meaning behind the words. It also is a good way to show the writing process; all of your thoughts jumbling together, trying to make your thoughts flow cohesively, the overwhelmingness of trying to do these things.

  57. Color, abstract, lively.
The colors of the cover suggest a lush, lively scene. It appears to be an abstract painting or drawing of what I see as a natural setting. There appear to be mountains, animals, and waves all coexisting in the same piece. It is abstract in the sense that the subjects of the piece are contorted into less recognizable versions of themselves and because the subjects aren't normally seen in the same place at the same time.

  58. Vivid, Bright, Colorful, abstract. Id say that the color of the book provides a very bright and positive vibe. The cover of this book really stand out because not a lot of books have as bright of covers on their book, those covers don't really draw you to the book like this one does.
